This is the third time photographing little Emerson. The first being from inside his mothers belly, the second only a few days old and this past session took place when the little man was around 7mo old. One of my favorite things about being a photographer is being able to watch families grow! Expect to see this handsome face again in May!

I can’t believe I’ve forgotten to share our fourth star from the August mini sessions! Devin was a hoot to shoot – can you tell? He’s an aspiring model and boy, does he love the camera (and the camera loves him!) After every few shots, he’d run up to Jen and ask, “can I see?” and eventually reached into his bag of toys to show her his camera and take her picture. He was so much fun! He had his parents, Jen and I in stitches – switching between his “serious” face and his big, infectious grin. Enjoy these pictures as we totally, totally enjoyed our time with Devin!

Jake and my daughter are 4 days apart – his mommy and me have been friends for a long time now. This past Sunday we met up for a session in downtown Fenton and here are my favs!

Addy is a beautiful, smart and full-of-life two year old (almost three!) who giggles when you threaten to tickler her.. who reaches for your hand when you ask her to come with you.. who’s smile is as big as life and laughter is beyond contagious. I fell in love with her a few minutes after meeting her Here are a few of my favorites from our session!

august mini-sessions announced!

By popular demand, I’m announcing a day of mini-sessions for August!

What is a mini-session?
These sessions are a mini version of our full sessions and can range from toddlers, seniors, families, maternity or even engagements. Basically, any type of session other than boudoir or a sole infant session. Sessions will last up to 20 minutes each and include an online proofing gallery which usually estimates around 15-30 images.

When?
Sunday, August 7th, 2011
Available Times:
8:30am
9:15am – RESERVED
10am – RESERVED
10:45am – RESERVED
11:30am – RESERVED

Where?
Downtown Ann Arbor
Meeting Location: Starbucks on the corner of State and Liberty (across from Borders)
Sessions will take place OUTDOORS – so be prepared to walk around town a bit.

Theme Ideas:
Ice Cream Parlor! Picture your child in the grass eating a superman colored ice cream cone.. messy and adorable!
Urban Kids - A session in Ann Arbor’s graffiti ally will compliment their bold personality and stylish wardrobe.
Earthy – Relax on the grass beside the trees in the Diag. Bring a blanket to lay on!
Cozy Cafe – Grab a cup of Joe and get some portraits inside or around the quaint cafes.
Destination: BEACH! – I know there wont be a beach close by, but that doesn’t mean the munchkins can’t rock a cute bathing suit, sunglasses, an inflatable tube or even a pinwheel!
Picnic: Bring a blanket and some colorfull snacks!
Theme’s aren’t limited to these ideas so if you have a special request, count me in!
*Even though many of these ideas are geared towards children, adults can enjoy these awesome locations as well! All make a perfect spot for a family, couples or even an individual session.

Suggestions:
Consider bringing a stroller for your munchkin to make it easier on you to walk around to the locations.
Visit previous blog post for some bright summer wardrobe inspirations.
ACCESSORIZE! Dress in neutrals or bright bolds! Show your style and go all out! Hats, scarfs, jewelry…
Think props.. dependent on the theme you want to embody, bring along some fun items to help hold the kids interest. Bubbles.. Balloons.. even snacks can be a cute prop! Popcicles, big watermellon slices, lollipops.

Investment:
Session Fee $95
A $25 deposit is required to hold your date/time. The remaining balance will be due the day of the session.
Session Fee includes the photographers time and talent and includes a password protected online proofing gallery with 15-30 edited images.
Prints, Albums and Digital Files can be purchased in addition to the initial investment of $95. ENJOY YOUR PRODUCT PURCHASES FOR 15% OFF! Choose from one of our collections or create your own! Digital Files can be purchased for $45/ea or the entire set for $200 ($150 off full-session pricing for the disk! Normally $350!)
