This engagement session took place in Oscoda, MI at Lumberman’s Monument; a place that Jeremy and Beth frequent often. They’re getting married on 9-10-11; a date that NO spouse will have an excuse to forget I married my husband on 5-6-07 and it’s worked out well for us!

Congratulations, Jeremy and Beth! I am looking forward to your wedding this Saturday!

Justin & Jackie are Michigan natives, but call Chicago home these days. I am BEYOND excited to travel to New York City with them in less than two weeks to photograph their wedding in Central Park! Here are a few of my favorites from their engagement session. Enjoy!

spring mini-sessions

To welcome the warm(er) weather, I have decided that it was time to offer a few outdoor mini-session specials! Mini-Sessions are now ONLY available on occassions like this and can no longer be booked by themselves. So, if you’re looking for some great spring photographs and are on a budget, this is the way to go!

When? SATURDAY, JUNE 4th, 2011

Sessions will take place in downtown Fenton and last up to 20 minutes. The session fee will be only $75 and include up to 20 minutes of shooting and a password protected online proofing gallery for up to 20 images. Prints and products can be purchased a la carte.

For those interested in digital files, there will be a print minimum of $100 before being eligible. Once the minimum has been met you’ll be welcome to all the files for an additional $100. (So, $275 covers the session fee, a $100 print credit and the digital files – products susceptible to sales tax).

To book your session, please email visual.poetry@yahoo.com. A deposit of $25 is required to reserve your date and time. The remaining balance will be due before your session on June 4th.

Meet this adorable Mount Morris couple, Amanda + Kash. Its so refreshing to be around people so head-over-heels! Makes my job so easy when the chemistry is so natural and the love just GLEAMS from their eyes as-is. Congratulations you two!!

I have spent heaping amounts of time in telling all of you why you should book me as a wedding or portrait photographer, but I havent spent any time in telling you about my goals and hopes when it comes to choosing which clients to accomodate. I know your dream wedding or portrait photographer is fun, affordable and produces some amazing photographs that show who you really are at that very moment. I know that you want professionalism, but that you also want someone that will open up just as they expect you to do in front of the camera. A real person, not an operator or a machine. A person that will return your phone calls.. someone honest and passionate.. someone who will make you laugh and be easy to work with and make you feel comfortable.

I expect all those things from my clients, as well. My ideal clients are fun.. and in love.. and real. People that put their own special touch on their wedding and got their hands a little dirty in it’s preperations. I love when couples arent afraid to think out of the box and be a little edgy.. a little different. My ideal clients know the importance of the photographs. They appreciate the memories we capture. The clients I love are those who love our style and don’t ask us to be any different!

This Saturday I am excited to photograph my first 2010 wedding! The season is going to start with a bang and I plan to have LOTS in store for you all.. including some blog posts that I’ve been slacking on posting!
