Meet this adorable Mount Morris couple, Amanda + Kash. Its so refreshing to be around people so head-over-heels! Makes my job so easy when the chemistry is so natural and the love just GLEAMS from their eyes as-is. Congratulations you two!!

I have spent heaping amounts of time in telling all of you why you should book me as a wedding or portrait photographer, but I havent spent any time in telling you about my goals and hopes when it comes to choosing which clients to accomodate. I know your dream wedding or portrait photographer is fun, affordable and produces some amazing photographs that show who you really are at that very moment. I know that you want professionalism, but that you also want someone that will open up just as they expect you to do in front of the camera. A real person, not an operator or a machine. A person that will return your phone calls.. someone honest and passionate.. someone who will make you laugh and be easy to work with and make you feel comfortable.

I expect all those things from my clients, as well. My ideal clients are fun.. and in love.. and real. People that put their own special touch on their wedding and got their hands a little dirty in it’s preperations. I love when couples arent afraid to think out of the box and be a little edgy.. a little different. My ideal clients know the importance of the photographs. They appreciate the memories we capture. The clients I love are those who love our style and don’t ask us to be any different!

This Saturday I am excited to photograph my first 2010 wedding! The season is going to start with a bang and I plan to have LOTS in store for you all.. including some blog posts that I’ve been slacking on posting!

I wanted to take a moment to introduce my new graphic designer, Stacey Peters! I have brought Stacey on board to assist me with my graphic needs, including album designs, marketing.. you name it! victoria + malachi {michigan engagement photographer}

Meet this totally gorgeous couple, Victoria and Malachi (and Driver, the dog). They have a June 2010 wedding planned! We met this past Sunday morning in Fenton for their engagement photographs. Not only is this couple adorable, but they were such a pleasure to photograph because the chemistry was so strong between them. Most the time I didn’t need to give them any direction – they were so wrapped up in each other which made every single shot FULL of emotion and love.

Thank you, Victoria and Malachi, for allowing me to document your life, relationship and soon, your wedding. The pleasure was all mine!

My little sister Amanda is getting married next June so we met up for some engagement photographs this past weekend. Will is the lucky guy standing next to her. They’ve been together for years and suit eachother so well. Amanda is a dog groomer and Will drives trucks nationwide. They are eager to spend the rest of their lives together and excited to start a family of their own. Since they both love the country life… you know… riding horses, listening to country music and getting their hands nice and dirty, I wanted to put them in an enviroment true to them. We drove around Fenton/Linden and came accross this old barn that did the job!

abby + donnie (engaged!)

So, way back when, Abby and I worked together at a mortgage company in Hartland. I was so lucky to have met her – she has been a great friend over the years! When I got the call about Donnie proposing I was extatic! They have a summer 2010 wedding planned and from what I’ve heard about the wedding plans thus far – it’s going to be nothing shy of fabulous. Abby has all these great ideas to make her wedding unlike the rest… just wait till you see the location! They call it ‘The Waterfall House’… nuff said. But for now, enjoy their engagement photos!

Tanzie & Lawrence are getting married in September! We met up at the Hudson Mills metropark a few weeks back for their engagement session. The sun was a-blazing! I had alot of fun getting to know the couple more. Tanzalea is breath taking and I can’t wait to see her as a bride! Lawrence has one of the best sense of humor – I thought it was adorable how he kept wispering things to her to get her to smile for the photographs. Truely an awesome couple. For Jasmin & Ryan’s engagement session we met up at the bride’s parents home in Gaines – what a beautiful place! Lots of land; so peacefull and romantic! The open space reminded me alot of when I was a child. I grew up in Pinckney and lived down the street from a sod farm. I can remember walking down a few times a week just to sit on a roll of sod and write or draw. That’s even where I started practicing on my first SLR camera! The quite inspires me – the colors relax me – and the sun makes me appreciate being in that very spot at that very moment. *sigh*
